Party mit Musik von Tobias Thomas»An Evening with the Leatherman«  erweitert die Ausstellung im Kölnischen Kunstverein.

Ausgehend von dem Buch "Der Ledermann spricht mit Hubert Fichte" (1977) untersuchen die Künstlerin Lili Reynaud-Dewar, der Autor Diedrich Diederichsen, die Filmemacherin Oona von Maydell sowie die Kuratoren Pierre-Alexandre Mateos und Charles Teyssou gesellschaftliche Machtstrukturen und subkulturelle Gegenentwürfe im Kontext der deutschen Nachkriegsgesellschaft und darüber hinaus – besonders die Rolle der BDSM- und Lederkultur.
»An Evening with the Leatherman« expands the exhibition at Kölnischer Kunstverein. Drawing on the book "Der Ledermann spricht mit Hubert Fichte" (1977) by Hubert Fichte and Hans Eppendorfer, artist Lili Reynaud-Dewar, author Diedrich Diederichsen, filmmaker Oona von Maydell, and curators Pierre-Alexandre Mateos and Charles Teyssou explore social power structures and subcultural counter-narratives in the context of postwar German society and beyond — with a particular focus on the role of BDSM and leather culture.

The panel will address the intellectual genesis of the book and its 1979 theatrical adaptation »The Leatherman«.
