Willkommen in einem neuen Staat, REPARATION NATION!
Durch zeitgenössischen und Hip-Hop-Tanz, Oper, Bildende Kunst, Live-Soundscapes, elektronische polyrhythmische Beats, interaktive Installationen und eine faszinierende Gleichzeitigkeit entfaltet sich eine Tanztheaterproduktion, die die afrikanische Erzählung ins Zentrum stellt.
In einem Panorama von Videolandschaften aus dem Senegal, Namibia, Südafrika und Deutschland, entsteht ein absurd-komisches und zugleich tief berührendes Gefüge um Eigentum, Herkunft und Identität.
“Reparation Nation” ist eine Produktion von und mit BiPoC- (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) und POAD-Künstler*innen (People of African Descent) aus dem Senegal, Namibia, Kamerun, Südafrika, Ghana, Sri Lanka und der afrikanischen Diaspora in Hamburg. Gemeinsam mit einer Trompete spielenden Komponistin aus Berlin und einer südafrikanischen Sängerin aus Lübeck entwirft das Ensemble eine Zukunftsvision, die europäische Wahrnehmungen afrikanischer Geschichten herausfordert, und zugleich das Theater selbst als Zufluchtsort der Heilung, als Ritual der Erinnerung und als Keimstätte der Transformation begreift.

Welcome to a new state, REPARATION NATION!
Through contemporary and Hip Hop dance, opera, visual arts, live soundscapes, electronic polyrhythmic beats, interactive installation, and a fascinating simultaneity, a dance theater production unfolds that takes the African narrative as its central starting point.
Within a panorama of video landscapes from Senegal, Namibia, South Africa and Germany, sites of memory, rupture, and resilience, an absurdly comic yet deeply resonant constellation around ownership, origin, and identity comes to life.
REPARATION NATION is created by and with BiPoC and POAD artists from Senegal, Namibia, Cameroon, South Africa, Ghana, Sri Lanka, and the African diaspora in Hamburg. Together with a trumpet-playing Berlin-based composer and a South African singer from Lübeck, the ensemble conjures a vision of the future that challenges European perceptions of African histories while offering theatre itself as a sanctuary of healing, a ritual of remembrance, and a seedbed of transformation.

Ermäßigte Preise gelten für HELLERAU Card-Inhaber*innnen, Kinder bis 14 Jahre, Schüler*innen, Studierende, Auszubildende, Freiwillige (Bundesfreiwilligendienst/Freiwilliges Soziales Jahr/Freiwilliger Wehrdienst), Schwerbehinderte (ab GdB 80), Inhaber*innen von Sozialpässen deutscher Gemeinden / des Dresden-Pass, Inhaber*innen des Dresdner Ehrenamtspasses. Eine Begleitperson eines schwerbehinderten Menschen erhält bei Nachweis der Erforderlichkeit einer Begleitperson freien Eintritt. Bei eingetragenen "B" ist für die Begleitperson die Preisstufe "Begleitperson Schwerbehinderte" auszuwählen. Die Tickets für Begleitpersonen eines schwerbehinderten Menschen sind über das Besucherzentrum ticket@hellerau.org erhältlich.
